Midterm project: Create an advertising campaign to increase sales for BILLY, the Ikea bookshelf. Your target audience is students and first-time movers. You have 48 hours.
So I've practically been working non-stop the last 2 days, but I'm rather pleased with the final result - I got an A+! The concept is encouraging people to pimp their Billy bookshelves, post the results to the website where other people will vote, and potentially win awesome prizes. At the same time as strengthening the Billy brand and making it something hip. The text at the bottom says "Join the search for the world's coolest BILLY bookshelf at PIMPMYBILLY.COM!" Since I started on it, it's come to my attention that there actually already exists something called Pimp My Billy, and though the basic premise there is completely different, it was still kind of disappointing. |
